Explain to us how this grade level training has been beneficial to you with your instruction this year.
Have you incorporated any new ways of using the materials different from what was discussed at trainings?
As always, we love to hear your honest opinions. We have enjoyed spending this time during the trainings with you. Please contact either of us if there is anything you need that will help you in your classrooms.
Thank you for “ALL” that you do for the kids of Madison County!

I have really enjoyed the math training. I have gotten a lot of great ideas! Thank you for all of your hard work and effort into putting everything together.
I have learned many activities to improve my students math knowledge. They love math centers and can't wait to learn a new game. They don't realize that the games are educational, but they are learning new concepts and improving their knowledge of old ones.
I have really taken back to my classroom lots of new teaching strategies for my students many different ways of learning. The Hundreds Board has been very benficial for teaching so many concepts. The games have made learning math fun! (And also made it stick!) But what I have enjoyed most of all about the math trainings, is an opportunity to share with other 3rd grade teachers from my building and other schools in the county. Thanks for all of the great materials that you have given us this year.
I have learned a lot of new ways to formally assess my students. I have also taken back to the classroom many hands-on activities to use with my clss. This has changed the way I teach math and given me strategies to use other than the textbook.
Thanks so very much for all the planning that you have done to help us learn so many great ideas to use in classroom.
We have used the quick draw game, learning partners, and tons of the other activities as centers.
It has really helped reinforce some content that was difficult for some.
I just can't say enough about using the 100s board in my classroom. I use the 100s board for instruction with money, addition/subtraction strategies, multiples, and much more. My students' understanding of numbers as well as their mental math skills have increased tremendously!
Thank you!
I have learned a lot of new ideas and strategies for teaching math this year. I especially appreciated the materials I have received. The greatest impact came when some of my students were struggling with regrouping and I taught them how to use the add up method. It was very rewarding to see the light bulbs go off when they really got it.
I have enjoyed the grade level meetings we have attended this year. I have learned many new activities that have helped my students learn. Quick Draw, Lemonade Stand, and the 100 Chart Game are a few of my favorites. I have been using the activities during centers on Friday. I have also been rethinking my philosophy of how we teach math. I hope we can continue to do this next year.
This grade level training has been very beneficial to me this year. I have used so many of the ideas and activities presented to enhance my student's learning! From instituting a Math Game Day where we play a variety of games to review and re-teach math concepts, to You Be George where students are able to self-assess and plan for their future learning the ideas have been EXTREMELY beneficial! I truly hope training will continue next year. Thank you!
I have really enjoyed these trainings. Each one has been informative and I was able to leave with not only hands on ideas but you provided the materials..all I had to do was go back to schoool and implement them. Each training was relevant to what we were teaching at that time which was also nice!! I hope we can continue these next year.
I have learned many hands on activities to help my students learn difficult math concepts. The games, manipulatives, etc. have been fun for my class.
Yes, these math meeting have been great! I've been able to take a lot away from each training. I hope we continue to have these math meetings next year to develop turning point activities. Thanks!
There have been many great ideas introduced in the math meetings. We've been able to take a lot of the information and incorporate it into the classroom.
I have used many of the activities from the trainings this year. I have learned new ways to teach things that just make sense to the kids. I have also enjoyed examining the curriculum more closely.
I have enjoyed the math trainings. Some of the activities I have used, and the children seemed to have really liked them.
I have loved these trainings. We have used many ideas presented to us. I like being able to share ideas with others.
I have enjoyed the no stress atmosphere and all the materials we have been able take back to class. The students have really enjoyed the activities and refer back to them when working independently.
It was awesome to have chance to get together with teachers from other schools and compare ideas and concerns. I came away from each meeting with at least one idea that I have incorporated into my lesson plans. The one activity that the students beg to do is ZAP. I have used many of the other also.
This training has definately been beneficial! The hands on & practical tools are what we need more & more of in our classrooms. I have been able to incorporate many of the activities & the kids are excited to be participating instead of sitting & listening.
